1.Donggang Yanpu Fishing Port Cold Chain Logistics Center groundbreaking
The "Donggang Yanpu Fishing Port Cold Chain Logistics Center" held its groundbreaking ceremony on July 22nd, attended by Premier Zhuo Rongtai and Minister of Agriculture Chen Junji. During the event, Fisheries Agency Director Zhang Zhisheng briefed on the project plan, which will include facilities such as processing plants, frozen warehouses, and shipping docks. Upon completion, it is expected to safeguard Pingtung's processing capacity of 2,000 metric tons, playing a role in production and sales adjustment and enhancing international competitiveness of aquatic products. Moreover, the center will ensure Pingtung's catch of blackfin tuna is appropriately processed and distributed through various market channels, enabling consumers to enjoy freshly delivered seafood from its origin.
2. Agricultural Grain Bureau Hosts Top 10 Selected Good Grain Products Competition
To enhance the development of domestic mixed grain industry and promote the application of processed products, the Agricultural Grain Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture guided the Taiwan Grain Industry Development Association to organize the 10th "Top 10 Selected GOOD Grain Products Competition 2024". The competition, themed "Consumer Products Group" and "Whole Grain Products Group", is now accepting registrations until August 31st. It welcomes domestic food-related businesses, rural communities, farmer groups, agricultural enterprises, and primary processing facilities of agricultural products to enthusiastically submit entries to compete for the "Golden Grain Award", the Oscars of the grain industry.
