1.SPPI,FA discuss to promote the rights of migrant seafarers
The Chairman of Indonesian Fisheries Workers Association (SPPI), Mr. Ilyas, and the government officials of Indonesian Ministry of Manpower visited Fisheries Agency in company with the Director General of Taiwan Tuna Association, Mr. Han-Yu, Lin, and the professor of National Chung Cheng University, Ms. Li-Chuan, Liuhuang. The meeting aimed to stabilize the human resource for distant water fisheries and pragmatically promote the protection to the rights and benefits of seafarers, including direct and full payment of salary, safety onboard, and the living conditions onboard and onshore.
2. MOA: Farmers and Fishermen are advised to take anti-cold measures in response to the strong cold air mass coming
According to weather forecast data, the cold air mass will move southward on January 21st, and this wave of cold air mass will continue to affect until January 25th. Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) urges farmers and fishermen to take appropriate cold protection measures.
